Is there a group at Microsoft that goes to client’s sites to assist with issues, or collect information on how MS products are used in the field?

A while back I think I heard about a team that goes to client’s sites to see how they use MS products, such as SQL Server and expecially Excel, and try to help them use MS products better. Does anyone know how I can contact a member of this group?
