there is a SQL express instance running on one of our WIndows 2008 R2 VM's, and nobody can login to it. Obviously our IT dept has local admin authority over the server, but even with local admin accounts we cannot login. the DB was setup as part of a 3rd
party application, and no documentation was left. Are there any techniques to get access to this SQL Server if no passwords are known, and no local admin accounts are allowing us access to the data?
