SQL 2014 EE Licensing

Hello,

We are in the plan of moving to SQLServer 2014 Enterprise Edition. Currently using SQL 2012 SE. With 2 cpus and 6 cores per cpu rounding to 12 cores on a physical server and also 12 cores on a virtual machine(built of HyperV). I know licensing is based on per core.

What else Shd I mention when I call the vendor about the purchase?
