I have sql 2014 working on a Hyper-V VM. All TCP/IP protocols are enabled. Browser is set to start automatically and is running. Can access the DB using SSMS on the VM but I cannot connect to it from another VM or another (Win 7) PC on the network. When I try to connect and browse for Network Servers it finds the VM that has the sql server installed on it, but doesn't show the actual instance of the server.
I have opened port 1433 in the private firewall and the public firewall is turned off. It looks like the server is not listening on 1433 or their is a problem with the firewall.
Any help would be much appreciated.
