When the Service Pack 4 for SQL Server 2008 was installed it failed with the following error message: TITLE: SQL Server Setup failure

SQL Server Setup has encountered the following error:
Unable to generate a temporary class (result=1).
error CS0016: Could not write to output file 'c:\Users\userid\AppData\Local\Temp\2\aszk831i.dll' -- 'Could not execute CVTRES.EXE.'
Error code 0x84B10001.
