I have been working on Reducing the Database backup size, Which consists of Varbinary data of uploaded files. The Database performance also degrading as it is increasing in size. i don't want database to be more than 100GB. so i came across the concept of Database Partitioning. Can any one tell how i can make the old Data read only, take back up and take the back of only primary group daily and it can be restored with the Read only data taken backup at only once per month. is it possible. your suggestion are really appreciated. there is no better place than this forums for asking this question as i know. Thanks in advance.
