Default instance in Clustered instance?

In clustered instance the instance name would be virtual but the service name is 'MSSQLSERVER'.

Can we consider this instance is default instance.

Example:

Hostname: abc.srv.com

Instance name: xyz

Service name: MSSQLSERVER

Please help.
