I restored a Dev DB from a DB in our QA environment. I planned to take a daily differential backup of the QA DB and apply it to the restored copy in Dev to keep them in sync. But it seems that to use the differential in Dev , I need to first, re-restore the full Dev DB (using, I believe, NORECOVERY mode) and then restore the diff to that (in RECOVERY mode). In other words, I can't simply restore the diff backup the current Dev DB as simply as I thought. Is that correct?
