A doubt to clarify. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question.
Would like to know on how SQL Server is licensed ? When, and what needs a Client Access License (CAL) ?? What does CAL refers to in SQL Server licensing ?
Assuming i need one MS SQL Server license to store my application database. The number of users will be accessing this app database stored in SQL Server via a application will be 30.
So in this scenario , how will my sql server be licensed ? What type of license will i be required to purchase?
Kindly advise. Any help is much appreciated.
