I have a 2012 R2 instance installed on Server 2012. Our transaction log backup runs every 15 minutes to a Dell DR4100 network device. We randomly have failures of this job. Works fine, doesn't work, works again. It will go for a period of time unstable
and go back to working for weeks. It gets errors about read/write error, network name not found etc. These failures can be during out lowest usage time as well. 2 of our 4 servers experience this. The other 2 never. Same network/software/etc. Is there a timeout
limit on network paths that can be updated? It doesn't seem to be network related (not seeing network failures in our monitoring system, everything else works, network load light during fails. Anything else I can look at to try and determine why 2 randomly
fail and the other 2 don't? Thank you.
