Hello,
I am not the most knowledgeable person in SQL Server. I have done some research on my issue, but I'm not sure if my concern/question has been answered or not. We are in the process of pricing out SQL Server 2014 Standard Edition for deployment in a Microsoft Server 2008 R2 environment.
One of my clients uses a Web Based RMS system which connects to main network, to a Virtual Machine that will be hosting SQL Server 2014. The data that they input out in the field or in the office is stored in the SQL Server. My question: Does every user that is accessing the RMS system need a Client Access License (CAL)? If so, could you explain it a bit. I believe the answer is YES, but I would like some reassurance.
Thanks
