Hi,<o:p></o:p>
I am new to
SQL Server 2012 Express Edition which I have installed and I have three
AdventureWorks databases attached.<o:p></o:p>
I want to
look at the database diagrams on the databases but I keep getting this error
message when I click on Database Diagrams under the AdventureWorksLT2012
database (under Databases, under DAVIDLANE-HP\SQLEXPRESS (SQL Server 11.0.3128
- DavidLane-HP\DavidLane) in Sql Server Management Studio:<o:p></o:p>
Database
diagram support objects cannot be installed because this database does not have
a valid owner. To continue, first use the Files page of the Database Properties
dialog box or the ALTER AUTHORIZATION statement to set the database owner to a
valid login, then add the database diagram support objects.<o:p></o:p>
The
same thing happens under the AdventureWorks2012 database but under the
AdventureWorksDW2012 database there are already diagrams and I can access them.<o:p></o:p>
I
found this thread: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/13f39ee8-a548-4e26-97d4-aa1b25d93e65/adventureworks-database-cannot-access-database-diagrams
so I went to the Files Page of the Database Properties of AdventureWorksLT
(right click properties on database) and tried to put in DavidLane-HP\DavidLane
in the owner box but it give me this error message:<o:p></o:p>
TITLE:

Now I'm stuck. How do I create new diagrams for AdventureWorksLT2012 and
AdventureWorks2012, or any database for that matter?<o:p></o:p>
Thanks<o:p></o:p>
David Lane.<o:p></o:p>
