Hi,
I was trying to upgrade from Sql2008R2 enterprise edition to 2014 standard edition but was failing due to the version difference.
So, i tried creating a new sql server instance on 2014 sql server and and i took a backup of the database on sql2008R2 and now I am trying to restore on the new sql2014 instance but it is failing with below error.
The database was backed up on server running version 8.00.0760. That version is incompatible with this server which is running version 12.00.5000.
Can anyone please let me know how can i restore a database from sql2008 to sql2014.
