I just recently ordered a Dell T330 poweredge server directly from Dell. It came with 2016 server with downgrade rights and I also got SQL 2016 Standard which should of had downgrade rights as well, from what my Dell rep told me. The site I ordered this
for requires SQL 2014 and I've never done a downgrade. I used to evaluation copy of server 2014 and tried using key that came with 2016 to no avail. Does anyone out there know of this process of doing this. I really need to get SQL loaded on this server and
have never done the downgrade rights for SQL. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. So basically I paid for 2016, have no plans on using it, just need to key to work for 2014 Standard.
