I just purchased a new PC, There are no SQL Server databases on my PC.
I installed Visual Studio 2010 and the SQL Server packed with the Ultimate version. There seems to be both SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server2008 R2. Is that because of my not noting this during the installation or is one or the other not needed?
When starting the Management Studio with no SQL files, I can't get past the opening screen.
I enter the Computer Name/User Name/and Server Name and it gets rejected. I have a copy of the MSDN guide and followed the brief explanation to no avail.
I am using Windows Authentication so no password is necessary.
What am I missing?
