Good Morning! I'm new to SQL Server, some thing I may post may not make sense to you, please forgive my ignorance, and know all guidance and help is greatly appreciated. I'm currently running SQL Server 2008 Enterprise (not in production) on MS Server 2008 R2. I downloaded SQL Server 2016 Developer edition from Visual Studio and when I run the setup.exe I get the following mesages:
First says Set Up limited to Reporting Services for Sharepoint:
This server is running Windows Server 2008 R2. You can continue with setup to install or upgrade Reporting Services functionality in Sharepoint.

Reporting Services add-in for sharepoint products
SO I click on continue to install and get the message below.
SQL Server set up has encountered the following error:
Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information.
Error code: 0x84B10001
I click on the question mark under the message and it ask me if I want to send the info over the web for assistance and it brings me to the Microsoft home page, which is no help.
I'm running everything on Oracle VM Virtual Box and have not had any issues with any versions until now. I did some research on the error code and it said something about hotfixes. I had to request a hotfix by email, but I do not know which one to pick, there were 5 of them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
